Does it get more American than a good pair of denim shorts?!

4th of July is quickly approaching bringing parades, pool parties, BBQ’s and fireworks! For as long as I can remember, I’ve adored everything about this special day, including dressing the part. It’s the ultimate day of the year to bring out all the stars and stripes and red, white and blue. Here are some easy 4th of July outfits to show your American pride!

Casual USA Outfits

If your 4th of July celebration includes casual time with family and friends by the pool or BBQ, keep your look simple and fun with a graphic tee and shorts. You can’t go wrong with a comfy pair of sandals and ball cap to top the look off. If you plan to stay in your swimsuit all day keep it festive, too! Style Tip: Try to buy pieces you will wear throughout the summer so it’s not just a one and done deal!

Cute & Classic 4th of July Outfits

When you want to keep it classic for your 4th of July outfit, you can’t go wrong with a cute summer dress. A simple white dress with splashes of red and/or blue will keep you cool and be a piece perfect to wear the rest of the summer. Don’t forget some fun accessories, like earrings and a headband to seal the deal. Style Tip: Mix in stars and stripes to keep it extra festive!

Chic All-American Girl Outfits

For a chic holiday vibe, think about eyelet, ruffled or pinstriped blouses and crisp pants. A great classic look would be a sleeveless blouse with white jeans (stick with shorts if it’s a hot one). Punch up the look with some wedges and a fun summer purse. If the evening brings cooler temps, add a jean jacket for an all American final touch!

So what 4th of July outfits are your go to? Depends on the festivities on the docket, but casual or classic is usually my scene. It’s often a hot one in the midwest so keeping my outfit cute while staying cool and comfortable is always key. No matter what, it’s definitely involving red, white and blue!
